The Bucket List

Now I'm not an ambitious person, so many items on this Bucket List will probably leave you thinking... "Really? I've done that 10 times." BUT, I'm still adding to it every day and there's so many things on here that would mean the world to me if I achieved them! I've been crossing things off as they happened (including the four-leafed clover one... I remembered that I'd done that years ago!) but I wanted to document them here also. Sunday Snippets #8

Monday morning blogging / Sleepy work selfie / Reading for pleasure, something I haven't done in ages! / Loved the "Bare-faced Selfie" craze this week, did you donate? / Delicious spicy potato salad at uni / Mum made me a gorgeous decoupaged "C" for my shelf / I WILL have one of these babies in the next few years / Working on my travel minibook / Mini eggs are the highlight of Easter.
This past week has been completely topsy turvy! Our landlady has allowed builders to be in and out of our house every day (they're not even building in our house!) and it's completely disrupted us all... because they cut through our internet cable. It's only just been fixed today, even though it was cut on Thursday.

With important final deadlines this week, I ended up going home for the weekend in an attempt to get work done. It didn't really work, but at least I have until Thursday to get my essays done. It's gotten to the point now where as long as I pass, I don't care what grade I get! I just want to go home. Only two weeks left.

In other news, I've been SO puppy broody lately. My dogs are now 6, 8 and 10, and whilst they're all still very bouncy, energetic and happy, I'm longing for puppy cuddles and games. It'll be at least a few years until I can get myself a puppy, but that hasn't stopped me looking in rescues!

I must go and get some work done now, tell me about your week in the comments!

Bitten by the Stationery Love Bug

I was always a stationery fiend, but going to university made my addiction even worse! I've now been at uni for two years and I've accumulated a huge folder/binder/notepad collection, and there's no way I'll ever use it all!

Despite this though, I still keep buying more. Folders just look SO pretty on my shelves. I don't buy ugly, plain stuff.... it's all got to have that Cath Kidston vibe. You know what I'm talking about; pastel colours, florals, cute animal motifs... I have an obsession.

Bit of a pointless post, but basically I just wanted to ask where you buy your cute stationery from! Do you have any recommendations? I'm in the market for a new ring binder, second year of university has produced a LOT of revision notes.

The Happiness Jar..

Back in December 2013, I came across an idea of Tumblr that I knew I had to try. You get yourself a jar, and every time something really good happens, or something little makes you smile, you write it down on a bit of paper and pop it in the jar.

I am terrible for dwelling on the negatives, and so a little project like this is perfect for me. On New Years Eve this year I'll sit down and go through all the little things that made me happy this year... there's already quite a few in there!

I just used a jar that I already had lying around, and tied some ribbon and twine around the lid. I haven't gotten around to replacing the label yet, but I'll do that at some point. Do you think you'd enjoy this sort of thing? Will you be giving it a go?

Sunday Snippets #7 (Two Weeks of Photos!)

Essay reading / Hot chocolate at the train station / Panda selfie / First blossom I've seen this year! / Wild primroses in our garden / Night out at Bop / Hangover socks / A jaw abscess means one thing: soup / Reading The White Princess whilst ill in bed / Teddy selfie / Embracing my naturally curly hair / Niece and nephew on the beach / Morning cuppa / A sunny walk in Winchester / Free Costa! / A few Primark purchases / Blog photographs / 8am essay writing at uni / Went home for the night, reunited with my puppy! / Won a Facebook comp, prize was this bunny house / Box of chocolates from my boyfriend's mum / Naughty purchases / Derpy selfie / Back at uni, primroses and a coffee break / Cuddles with grumpy Ted.
Hey everyone! I feel like it's been forever since I wrote a post. Unfortunately last weekend I was laid up in bed with a jaw abscess, the pain had me in agony for nearly a week! I couldn't even get up most days, it was horrendous. As a result, I may have to have surgery on my jaw to remove the tooth and fix the problem... fun fun.

To make up for last week's absence, I've put all the photos from the last two weeks into this one post! I really love this little Sunday segment, it's so lovely to look back over my weeks and see that even though rubbish stuff has happened, there's still a little something good in every day... or at least, there's always something pretty to take a photo of.

The last two weeks have seen me getting essays finished, going on nights out, being stuck in bed ill and living off soup, and visiting home for some of this weekend. It's gone by in a flash and I can't wait to whizz through the next three weeks! What have you guys been up to?

Obsessed With Cameras? Me? Never...

In the last year or two, I have become unhealthily obsessed with cameras and photography. I own a small digital point and shoot (a Fujifilm Finepix something or other) that's always in my handbag, and a Samsung WB100 bridge camera that I film my YouTube videos and take blog photos with. I'm lusting after a DSLR, but that's another story...

In the last 9 months though, I became very interested in more "alternative" cameras, lomography and instant cameras in particular. My wonderful boyfriend bought me my Fuji Instax Mini for my birthday last year, and I picked up the Diana Superstar Mini in the Urban Outfitters sale for just £25! Obviously these cameras can work out quite expensive when you factor in the price of film, but I just adore them.

I LOVE these cameras for documenting special events, though obviously it's always advisable to take photos on another camera as well, even your phone, as the results with instant/lomography cameras can be unpredictable... especially when you first start using them! Hopefully I'll be able to share some of my photography with you soon.

Do you have any "alternative" cameras? Which ones do you recommend?

Sunday Snippets #6

My £1 eBay watch / Workspace Wednesday - essay writing / a Thursday selfie / At my second home, the train station / A spot of shopping / Beautiful day on Saturday / Teddy love / First ever cake pop / Back at the train station
I can't believe that another week has been and gone, and I'm one more week closer to going home permanently: yay! Only 5 weeks left. This week has been a blur really and if you asked me what I was doing this time last week.... to be honest I don't remember!

I tried to get as much work done as possible this week, and as a result I only have 2 assignments left to complete before the end of term... I'm so proud of myself as I have a good amount of time to get them done and dusted now. It's going to be a hard couple of weeks getting everything finished but I'm really determined.

We also laid my Nanny to rest on Friday, it was honestly the hardest day of my life so far. It was so emotionally draining and It's horrendous to think that I'll have to go through it again, and again, and again as other family members age. I spent Thursday-Sunday at home with my family though and it was lovely to get away from university again.

I also did some shopping, as you can see! I got a watch from eBay for just £1 and it's amazing, I've had so many compliments. I also FINALLY got my mitts on the Sleek blush in Rose Gold and their eyebrow kit (hopefully reviews will come soon) as well as some cute home bits from Primark. I love my bedroom at home and will hopefully do a room tour for you next month.

That's all for this week really, as usual I hope you've had a great week and that the next one will be just as fab. Hopefully I'll get back to posting regularly and making videos this week!
